2PD&1DLC CEUs Postsecondary Equity 22-23

This course focuses on the role of the school counselors and college access advisors in ensuring that all students have the necessary support needed to pursue education beyond high school. You will learn about the barriers that many students face in planning for postsecondary education as well as the specific strategies and practices that can increase access to "college" for all students. (Note that in this course, the word "college" and "college-going" refer to any formal education beyond high school.) . You will assess your own personal beliefs and attitudes about groups of students and measure whether "college-going" practices are present in a particular school. Finally, you will make a plan for improving the culture of postsecondary equity at the school or schools with which you work.
